Hello there!! You can just call me Brisk! I'm a self-taught artist on the internet with a major passion for vocal synths. I'm a novice web developer who picked up html solely so I could make a custom website because modern social media offers pretty much none, so forgive any clunkyness you may see around here.

I've got a couple hobbies and interests, some of which I discuss online more than others! I don't really dabble in fandoms much nowadays.

Kasane Teto is my favorite vocal synth of all time who I've been a big fan of for years! My username "markovchains" is a reference to Song Of The Eared Robot, the first proper song to use Teto's voicebank back in 2008! I even have Teto's 0401 tattooed on my shoulder because I'm that deranged of an individual. She genuinely does mean a lot to me though :]

As you have probably gleaned from the weird creature to your left, I have a fursona! I don't really participate much in the furry community, but I designed this thing when I was 12 years old and imprinted on her. I have a few other sonas, but this is the main one I use online to represent myself. I like making ocs and sharing stories with others! So you can poke around my toyhouse to see my funny guys if you'd like.

Vocalsynths!

you already know baby. Vocal synths are pretty much the only online community I really frequent. The fact a decentralized community could go almost 2 entire decades powered by nothing but their love for a software mascot is a truly incredible thing and I'm surprised it's survived this long into the cluttered modern day internet. It's great! In a time where art is being discarded unless it's profitable enough (or straight up replaced with ai slop), making art purely out of love is more important than ever.

Cosplay + Fursuit making!

I cosplay on occasion, I only ever do it for conventions, so I'm never in as much of a rush to cosplay someone new until a con date sneaks up on me, lol. Fursuit making is a hobby that's been on hiatus for multiple years at this point as I do not have the space in my apartment to store materials and work safely, but I'd love to get back into the swing of making costume pieces again!

I have a passive interest in animal science and biology.
A part of me wants to pick up music production or DJing, but the amount of stuff to learn overwhelms me.
I attended art school for 2 and a half years before dropping out lmaoooooo :')
I'm passively into guilty gear but only for the lore, i'm abysmal at fighting games.
